Final Update of 2018

Hello, everybody! This will be the final update of 2018 and we have some really exciting news that we would like to share!
First off, the total amount we have managed to raise is 27,600,000 yen, which means...
Disir is the mother of Hel, Fenrir and Jorm
That is correct, we have indeed managed to hit the 4th Stretch Goal! With this Stretch Goal, there will be a completely new episode and scenario added to VenusBlood FRONTIER featuring a never before seen character, the Imperial Queen Disir! Truly a cause for celebration.
Now then, some news for the Money Pool backers. After calculating the amount collected via the Money Pool pledges, there was enough for a single fulfilment of the Untold Tales of Yggdrasil.
With this, we will contact the backers of the money pool tiers around January 2019 for their votes on which character they would like to see featured. After we tally the votes and announce the winner, we will then ask the same backers for suggestions for what kind of scene they would like to see the chosen character feature in. (These scene suggestions will be reviewed and a selection of them will be included in a final poll for the money pool backers to vote on)
Pre-Order Store Re-Opening
We have received a multitude of requests from fans requesting for an extension to the time period that the pre-order store is open. After careful consideration, we have decided to re-open the pre-order store, and we will leave it open until April 2019.
However, due to logistical concerns, we will no longer be accepting pledges related to the Money Pool or any that involve creating a new character or scene (eg. Rebirth, Flower of the Battlefield etc).
During this period, we will also accept requests from existing backers to upgrade their pledge, with the exception of upgrading to the above-mentioned pledges. Otherwise, to those of you who have already kindly pledged to this project...Thank you all so very much! We couldn't have come this far without the love and support of all our lovely fans!
We definitely hope that you are all as excited for the game as we are working to bring it to you! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, folks! Here's to another great year in 2019.
Backer Update & VBF Character Birthday!

Hey there, everyone! Hope the winter season is treating you all well. We have some news that we would like to share with you all!
First of all, we will be contacting Rebirth backers in the coming days regarding unit details. We will also be contacting backers of the money pool tiers regarding information regarding the character voting process as well as collecting suggestions and requests for what kind of scene they want to see. (These scene suggestions and requests will be reviewed and a selection of them will be included in a final poll for the money pool backers to vote on)
As for information regarding the total amount raised from the Kickstarter campaign and Backerkit + Pre-order Store, we plan to release a final update for the year next week with that information. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
It's Fena and Menia's Birthday Today!
That's right folks, the birthday girl, or rather, girls today are Fena and Menia!
These lovely, foxy twins were born on the 35th day of the Dark Moon Phase according to the VenusBlood Calender (20th December for us on Earth).
Now then, we'd like to give a simple introduction as to the role the two birthday girls play in VenusBlood FRONTIER.
Firstly, Fena, the younger twin.
[My, to think that you would be so kind as to send birthday wishes to a servant like me...! This actually makes me quite happy, Young Master. Fufu, I wouldn't mind if you wish to give me a present, you know?]
She is a maid who has continued to serve the Muspelheim family despite its fall from grace. Ever devoted, she has been by Loki's side for many years as a caretaker and mentor, teaching him studies, etiquette, as well as about women. She is one of the very few people Loki trusts implicitly.
And next, Menia, the older twin.
[Birthday Wishes? To me? Hmph, well, you certainly have an admirable attitude. Very well, I shall personally talk to His Majesty in order elevate your position in Utgard. Keep up the good work.]
As opposed to her younger twin sister who continues to serve the fallen house of Muspelheim, Menia is the secretary of the Dark Lord Surt himself. She carries out his orders with ruthless efficiency, and although she is Fena's older twin sister, they have a stormy relationship and barely interact with each other.
We at Ninetail hope that you will celebrate their birthdays together with us today and look forward to their appearance in the upcoming English Edition of VenusBlood FRONTIER slated for a December 2019 release!

Official Doujinshi Guest Artist ふじのん's Updated Illustration
You see? The thing in the middle was an ice lolly after all!
We introduced the two guest artists in our previous update, and one of them, ふじのん(Fujinon) (@hujinon) has sent us an updated version of his illustration as shown above.
Looks really nice, don't you think? Remember, you get a copy of the doujinshi with any purchase of the artbook, whether as a pledge reward or add-on (or pre-order purchase)!
Just a quick notice that we will be putting out Kickstarter updates whenever it's one of VBF's main characters' birthday until the release of the English Edition of VBF!

Translation Terminology Changes
Now, I'm sure after the last update, many of you harbor concerns and quite a few of our backers have sent us feedback regarding the terminology changes.
Taking all of the feedback into consideration, we have discussed this matter with all the staff involved in the VBF localization project and have decided to make the following changes.
Monster Realm will be returned to the Demon Realm, and depending on the context of the story/situation, Monsters will instead be translated as Demons.
What do we mean by 'depending on the context', you might ask?
Specifically, Loki and the other members of Utgard royalty, as well as certain units/characters, will be referred to as Demons while beasts, demihumans and other units will be referred to as Monsters.
As for the rest of the terminology changes, our translator Arunaru and editor Ryechu are working together to look them over once more and revise them.
Official Doujinshi Update
Many of you might be wondering what exactly the "Official Doujinshi" that comes with the artbook after we achieved the 2nd stretch goal is.
Well...It's a collection of (Slightly NSFW) doujin stories featuring VBF heroines, and today we would like to introduce 2 guest artists whose work will be featured in the official doujinshi in the form of original VBF doujin stories!

Our first guest artist is 白家ミカ(Shiroie Mika)(@siroiemika), and he is a member of the doujin circle "駄肉家さん" (Danikuya-san) and has worked with us before as one of the artists for both VenusBlood FRONTIER and GAIA.
It would make sense that he would choose Fenrir. After all, he was the original artist for Fenrir who appears in VenusBlood FRONTIER!
And next, we would like to introduce you to our second guest artist!

Our second guest artist is ふじのん(Fujinon)(@hujinon), and he is a member of the doujin circle "fishbone".
His work tends to involve drugs, lolis, and magnificent ahegaos, so considering his message, his original VBF doujin story to be featured is definitely something to look forward to!
For those of you who may have been on the fence as to whether or not to reserve a copy of the artbook as a reward, there is still a chance! Any purchase of the artbook, whether as a reward tier or add-on, will come with the official doujinshi!
Backers can edit their add-on purchases via the backerkit survey, but any non-backers can purchase a copy via the pre-order store!
*Caution: The artbook is a Kickstarter exclusive item, especially the physical version which will most likely never be sold again after the Kickstarter, so don't miss out on this chance to purchase the physical artbook and get the official doujinshi for free together with it!

First off, the Backerkit surveys should have been sent out by the time this update goes live, so please be sure to CHECK YOUR EMAIL! Specifically the one you used to pledge on Kickstarter.
As for anyone just joining us and missed their chance to pledge (Or your credit card pledge was declined and you are simply awaiting the release of the store), now’s your chance to pick up some limited edition VBF goodies via the Pre-Order Store!
Now, for existing backers, please make use of the Backerkit SURVEY to purchase your add-ons. Anything bought via the Pre-order store will be considered a separate order unrelated to your pledge. In the Pre-order store, you can ‘Purchase’ any existing tier (save for the limited shikishi tiers) as well as add-ons, but for any tiers involving the money pool (Odin’s believer etc) or creating content with us (Rebirth etc), please contact us and make the payment directly via Paypal by clicking on the image below or sending the payment directly to [email protected]!
To all of our backers who have pledged to the ‘Rebirth’ tier and any tier that involves creating something with us, we will contact you with details around early to mid December, so please do use the time in-between to think about what you would like to request! The results of the backer poll and stretch goals achieved will also be announced around that time.
Backers of the money pool tiers will also be contacted around those dates with details regarding the voting process.
